Galahs are birds that have fun. Give a group of them a telegraph wire to play on and they will take full advantage of it, sliding up and down, flipping over and teasing one another. This is a miniature concertina book of galahs playing on a wire. The drawings were made in liquid pencil using a brush, then intensified with graphite pencil and finished off with coloured pencil and acrylic paint.
Hi Anna, Thankyou for dropping by my blog, I am so glad you did as it has lead me back to yours. What great work you do, and I just love these Galahs, it is so great to see how others use coloured pencils. I will be follwoing your blog now and look forward to seeing more of your work. Karen

Thank you Karen! I really enjoy your drawings (thought I had clicked follow, but find I haven’t yet!). Like you, botanical subjects are a something I gravitate to. I sketch too, but only when I am travelling, so will add a sketch page to the blog soon.
